The Parent Coalition for Child Safety & Wellness invites the community to gather for the four-year anniversary of Rio’s passing with a special event honoring her life and creativity.

“Remembering Rio: Cookies and Canvas for the Heart” is a free, family-centered celebration hosted by her parents, Aaron and Niki Ball, on Saturday, March 14.

The afternoon focuses on healing, connection, and youth engagement through art and shared experiences.

Families can enjoy desserts, cookie decorating, canvas and rock painting, face painting, games, music and a reflection corner.

The Elkhart Public Library Mobile Bus will also provide one free book for every child. The event is open to the entire community from 1 until 4 p.m.
