The Lake Michigan Industrial Park is receiving development support through Indiana Michigan Power’s Future Ready Sites Accelerator program.
Cornerstone Alliance announced that Site North B of the park has been selected for technical assistance to prepare it for industrial development.
The park spans more than 800 acres near Napier Avenue and Lake Michigan College. Most of the land is currently used for agriculture.
WSJM says through the accelerator program, a national consulting firm will evaluate the site and identify improvements needed to attract employers.
Officials say the effort is aimed at boosting job creation and strengthening the regional economy in Berrien County.
