Indiana State Police have a new four-legged crime fighter on the force.

His name is Dougie, a two-year-old black Labrador Retriever trained to detect hidden electronic storage devices.

Investigators say Electronic Storage Detection K-9s can locate cell phones, hard drives, flash drives and micro-SD cards that may hold critical evidence, especially in child exploitation cases.

Dougie was trained in Indianapolis by Jordan Detection K-9 with support from the nonprofit kNot Today. When Dougie isn’t searching for evidence, he’ll also serve as a therapy dog for officers and victims.
