A 33-year-old Elkhart man will serve time after being sentenced in a child molestation case. 

Ronald Medina Yanes was charged in August 2025 and later entered a plea agreement.

Police say he entered a home and inappropriately touched a 7-year-old girl.

Under the agreement, Medina Yanes received a 12-year sentence, with six years to be served in prison and six years on probation.

According to The Goshen News, authorities also confirm he is being held on an ICE detainer.
