Woman suffering from gunshot wound flags down Concord school bus for help

A woman suffering from a gunshot wound found help by flagging down a school bus in Elkhart.

It happened just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, near South 6th Street and Stiver Avenue.

According to Concord Schools, the bus driver had just picked up a student when the injured woman got on board.

The driver immediately contacted police.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Only one child was on the bus, and no students or staff were injured.

Investigators have not released any information about suspects, and the case remains under investigation.
