Boys & Girls Clubs, Potawatomi Zoo partner to support youth

(Tom Franklin/95.3 MNC)

A new partnership between the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor and Potawatomi Zoo is helping support local youth and wildlife conservation.

The Zoo has officially named one of its Blue Dart Frogs “Blu,” matching the Club’s mascot. Community members can now symbolically adopt Blu through the Zoo’s animal adoption program, with half of all proceeds benefiting the Club’s Financial Assistance Fund.

Supporters receive an adoption certificate, plush frog, and educational materials.

Club leaders say the partnership builds on years of collaboration, including field trips and educational outreach programs for local children and families.
