Thousands of flowers will soon be headed to communities across Elkhart County as organizers prepare for the 2026 Quilt Gardens season.

Plant delivery day is set for Thursday morning at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen, where most of the 17 Quilt Gardens sites will pick up flowers for planting ahead of the official opening on May 30.

Now in its 19th year, the award-winning attraction stretches across Elkhart, Goshen, Middlebury, Nappanee, Wakarusa, Shipshewana and Bristol.

The free Quilt Gardens are open daily throughout the summer and continue drawing national attention from tourism and travel publications.
