Elkhart man faces child sex abuse material charges

An Elkhart man is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation by the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Police say 59-year-old Rene Rodriguez was arrested after investigators received a tip involving suspected child sex abuse material linked to local internet activity.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for an apartment on Wagner Avenue and seized electronic devices during a search conducted June 9.
Rodriguez is charged with one Level 5 felony count and two Level 6 felony counts of possession of child sex abuse material. He is being held in the Elkhart County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
