Quick action by two Indiana State Police troopers and two Fulton County residents is being credited with saving a man’s life.

Captain Bob Burgess and First Sergeant Josh Rozzi responded June 9 to State Road 17 near County Road 900 South near Rochester and found a vehicle overturned and on fire.

With help from nearby residents Jeff and Sam Smith, they pulled the trapped driver from the wreck moments before flames engulfed the interior.

Investigators say the driver suffered a medical emergency before the crash.
