An Elkhart County man accused of burglary and fleeing police will wait several more months before going to trial.

36-year-old Jeremy Shult is charged in connection with a January 2023 burglary at a California Road residence.

Investigators say Shult was seen leaving the home with stolen property before leading officers on a vehicle and foot pursuit. Police also allege he discarded a loaded firearm while fleeing.

The Goshen News says the estimated value of stolen items was about $6,600.

Shult’s jury trial was continued from June to November 16.
