South Bend man gets more than 12 years for meth distribution

A South Bend man will spend more than 12 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Thirty-nine-year-old Michael Carpenter was sentenced to 151 months behind bars after pleading guilty to distributing more than 50 grams of meth. Prosecutors say the case involved roughly 352 grams of the drug.
Following his prison term, Carpenter will serve five years of supervised release.
