An Elkhart man is accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl during a church Bible study.

Police say 19-year-old Antonio Mikell and the girl were in the same class when he allegedly followed her into a restroom during a break and assaulted her. Investigators say church security video appears to show the girl leaving the restroom, with Mikell coming out moments later.

According to court documents, Mikell admitted meeting the girl in the restroom and told investigators the encounter was consensual, while also acknowledging he knew she was 13. He’s facing multiple felony charges.
