Crews battle house fire on Cherokee Road in Syracuse

Firefighters spent several hours battling a house fire in Syracuse over the weekend.

Crews with the Turkey Creek Fire Territory were called to a home on Cherokee Road just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, and found heavy flames coming from the house.

One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Two firefighters were also treated for heat-related illnesses.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
