Gov. Mike Braun to launch effort to help small business ownership transitions

Indiana Governor Mike Braun is launching a new effort to help small businesses prepare for ownership transitions.

The governor’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation recently teamed up with the Indiana Chamber of Commerce for a statewide webinar focused on succession planning.

A new report shows more than half of Indiana business owners are over age 55, putting more than 200 billion dollars in annual revenue and thousands of jobs at risk without proper planning.

State leaders say preparing the next generation of owners will help keep businesses and jobs rooted in Indiana communities.
