Cass County authorities say a Cassopolis man is being held on a one-million-dollar bond following a Fourth of July shooting investigation.

Deputies say 33-year-old William Werner allegedly fired at a vehicle carrying two adults and four juveniles on Stephenson Street.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators later found Werner after he crashed into a utility pole and allegedly assaulted a female victim. The investigation remains ongoing.
