Colombian National sentenced for identity theft

A Colombian citizen has been sentenced in federal court in South Bend for identity theft.
Oscar Andres Lopez-Gomez, 52, received 25 months in prison after pleading guilty to using a false Social Security number and aggravated identity theft.
Prosecutors say he used another person’s identity to obtain employment.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Homeland Security Investigations.
