A Goshen man charged in a fatal construction zone crash has been appointed a public defender.
Jose Rios Castaneda faces reckless homicide and other charges stemming from an April 2025 crash that killed Rigoberto Barba.
According to The Goshen News, prosecutors allege Castaneda was racing another driver in a construction zone before losing control and crossing the median.
His jury trial remains set for November 30.
