A Silver Lake man faces several charges after a police pursuit ended with a three-vehicle crash in Warsaw.
Indiana State Police say a trooper tried to stop two Chrysler 300s near U.S. 30 and State Road 15 Friday afternoon. One of the cars sped away, reaching more than 100 miles per hour before the trooper called off the chase because of heavy traffic.
Moments later, police found the Chrysler had crashed into a pickup truck and an SUV near Detroit and Fort Wayne streets.
Police say the driver, 21-year-old David Gabriel Rodriguez Junior, got out and ran but was quickly captured by Warsaw officers.
A female passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries from the crash.
Rodriguez was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on several preliminary charges, including resisting law enforcement, reckless driving resulting in injury and leaving the scene of a crash.
