Two Wanatah residents were found dead on a property in southern LaPorte County, prompting an investigation by local authorities and Indiana conservation officers.

Patricia J. Rosenbaum and Todd A. Rosenbaum, both 60, were found dead Sunday night on property in the 11000 west block of County Road 1500 South.

LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded after the man and woman were discovered. Detectives from the sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division and Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

Investigators say preliminary information indicates the deaths stemmed from an isolated incident. Authorities say there is no immediate threat to the public and they do not believe there is an ongoing danger to the surrounding community.
