Federal officials and U.S. Attorneys across the Midwest have launched a major interagency task force aimed at cracking down on fraud in the commercial trucking industry.

Known as “Joint Task Force Crossroads for America,” the initiative brings together the Justice Department, Transportation, and Homeland Security to dismantle illegal fraud schemes.

Officials say the effort will target fraudulent licensing, unqualified non-English speaking drivers, and illicit carriers to protect public safety and secure commercial freight routes.
