A Goshen man has been sentenced in a child-neglect case.

35year-old Nick Hunsberger received a 14-year sentence after his conviction for neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury. Six years were suspended.

The case stems from the 2022 death of a two-week-old child. Court records say drugs and unsafe sleeping conditions contributed to the death.

The child’s mother has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced Sep.17.
