Food trucks from around the region will gather in Middlebury this weekend for the fourth annual Michiana Food Truck Showdown.

The event is scheduled for Sunday from noon until 8 p.m. at American Legion Post 210 on York Drive.

Organizers say 23 food trucks are expected to participate, offering everything from barbecue and burgers to seafood, Mexican food, desserts and specialty drinks.

Admission and parking are free, and the event is being held to benefit local veterans.

Attendees will receive voting tickets and can use them to choose their favorite food truck after sampling the food.

Organizers plan to announce the first- and second-place winners around 6 p.m.
