The Kosciusko County Council voted on Thursday, Sep. 10, to withhold funding for Flock cameras and other surveillance technology after a packed meeting where people raised concerns about privacy.
The council approved three motions affecting funding for Flock cameras, Axon Justice, drones, gunshot detectors and additional cameras.
The council cannot remove the Flock cameras or cancel existing contracts.
Any move to ban the technology would have to come from the county commissioners.
