A portion of U.S. 6 in Elkhart County is scheduled to close for a culvert replacement project.

INDOT says the closure is expected to begin on or after Wednesday, Sep. 23, between Indiana 15 and County Road 21. Crews will replace a box culvert, with work expected to continue through mid-October.

Through traffic will be directed to use Indiana 15, Indiana 119 and Indiana 19. The schedule is weather-dependent and may change.
