Indiana officials plan to move forward with execution despite recent failed lethal injection attempt

Indiana prison officials plan to move forward with the Nov. 5 execution of Jeffrey Weisheit, despite a failed lethal injection attempt in Tennessee.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee halted executions and ordered an independent review after officials failed to execute Christa Pike on Wednesday.
Her attorneys say she remained alive after two rounds of the lethal injection drug and was receiving medical care Thursday.
Indiana uses the same drug, pentobarbital, and the Indiana Department of Correction says it remains confident in its execution procedures.
