A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in Elkhart.

Police say the crash happened around 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, near County Road 4 and Cassopolis Street. Investigators believe a northbound Jeep Wrangler hit the pedestrian in the road.

First responders found 69-year-old Edith Bullock unresponsive and took her to a hospital, where she later died.

The Jeep’s driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Elkhart police’s Crash Team is investigating.
