A federal appeals court has rejected Indiana’s request to reconsider a ruling that allows Planned Parenthood to tell young Hoosiers about legal abortion services in other states.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit upheld its August decision, which found that Indiana’s law restricting abortion information and referrals violated the First Amendment, according to the ACLU of Indiana.
The law, passed in 2017, sought to stop abortion providers from helping minors and young patients access abortion care in other states without notarized parental consent or court approval.
