The Elkhart County Circuit Court has continued the case against Davonte Jones, who is charged with attempted murder in a December shooting.

Police say two people were wounded in the December 23 incident on Monroe Street, including Jones, who was 17 at the time.

The Goshen News says Jones also requested a new public defender, citing concerns about his representation, but the request was denied.

His case was continued to February 15, with a trial status conference scheduled for January 21.
