A candlelight vigil for victims and survivors of domestic violence is planned Thursday in downtown South Bend.
YWCA North Central Indiana will host the event at 6 p.m. at Seitz Park, along the St. Joseph River. The vigil will honor people who have died, recognize survivors and support efforts to promote safety and healing.
The city’s River Lights will glow purple for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Parking near the park is limited, so attendees are encouraged to allow extra time.
