EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — The Indiana Economic Development Corp. is to meet this week to decide what applicants will share $84 million in Regional Cities funding.

The Evansville Courier and Press reports that a committee will have one last public meeting Tuesday to adopt its funding recommendations. The full board will meet immediately afterward to consider the recommendations, followed by a funding announcement.

The Regional Cities is a program aimed at improving quality of life and population growth in Indiana. It will provide $42 million to each to two regions in the state.

Seven regions in Indiana have applied for funding. Three are finalists including southwestern Indiana, the South Bend area and the Fort Wayne area.
