Indiana man sentenced to 8 years in prison for sexual assault of unconscious girl at party

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — A northeastern Indiana man convicted of having sex with an unconscious girl at a party has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

An Allen County judge sentenced 21-year-old William Reiske on Monday after relatives and friends asked for a suspended sentence or probation.

The Journal Gazette reports that a jury convicted Reiske in September of felony criminal deviate conduct charges and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Allen County prosecutors say Reiske prodded the girl to drink alcohol during a December 2013 party and had sex with her after she passed out.

He stopped having sex with the unconscious girl when other partygoers saw through a basement window what was happening and stopped it. Prosecutors say a friend of Reiske’s had videotaped the assault.
