Beacon Health Systems promising enhanced patient care by joining Mayor Clinic Care Network

Beacon Health Systems, which owns Elkhart General Hospital and Memorial Hospital in South Bend, is planning to join the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

Beacon is the first health care organization in Indiana to join the network, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

The Mayo Clinic Care Network has more than 35 member organizations in the U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico and Singapore, The Elkhart Truth reported.

Through the partnership, Beacon will have access to web-based tools that hospital administrators say will enhance patient care, at no additional cost.

Beacon providers will also have access to the Mayo Clinic’s library of patient education materials and can draw from other expertise that the Mayo Clinic offers.
