Guns, drugs found inside stolen vehicle involved in hit-and-run crash that injured boy in South Bend

Police are searching for two people who ran away from a vehicle involved in a crash that injured a boy walking along a street in South Bend on Thursday afternoon, April 7.

The boy was hit by a car on Grant Street at about 4:30 p.m., according to our news partners ABC 57. The vehicle drove away from the scene of the crash, but crashed nearby at the intersection of Warren and Ford streets.

Four people who were inside the car ran from the car and officers arrested two as of Thursday evening.

Police found guns and drugs inside the vehicle, which ABC 57 reports was reported stolen.

The boy was hospitalized, but it’s not clear how seriously he was injured.
