Child in Warsaw in critical condition after being struck by a car

A child is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Warsaw, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

The collision happened just after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, in the 700 block of S. Warbler Lane in Warsaw.

A 44-year-old woman who lives at the home with the child and mother, had gotten into her van to leave the home. She thought the child was still inside the home and struck the child as she was pulling the van forward, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The child was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment.

The child was last listed in critical condition, the sheriff’s department reported.
