A 35-year-old man was killed in a crash in Sodus Township, Mich., early in November.

Jerdell Antwon White of Benton Harbor, Mich., was found dead inside of a burning vehicle near the intersection of Tabor and River Roads on Nov. 7, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

A DNA test verified White’s identity. Alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.

White was driving the vehicle west on Tabor Road when it left the roadway and crashed into several large objects in an open field. The vehicle then caught fire.
