Man wanted for questioning in deadly Benton Harbor shooting taken into custody in South Bend on Tuesday night

A man wanted for questioning in connection to a deadly shooting in Benton Harbor, Mich., was taken into police custody in South Bend on Tuesday night, Oct. 27.

Daquantaries Williams was located at a home on the northwest side of South Bend, according to South Bend Police Chief Scott Ruszkowski.

Officers had received a tip about his location Tuesday night and worked with the Berrien County Homicide Task Force to apprehend him.

Williams was sought by police following the deadly shooting of 17-year-old Karlos Kelly of Benton Harbor on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 25. He has not been charged.

Seddrick Williams and Anthony Walker, both 18, were charged with murder in connection to the shooting, according to our news partners ABC 57.

Seddrick Williams, who police believe was the getaway driver, was arraigned Tuesday. His bond was set at $2 million.

Police are still searching for Walker.
