Man airlifted to hospital with head injuries after falling from moving cart cart in Cass County

An Arlington Heights, Illinois, man riding in the back of a golf cart was injured when he fell off the back of the cart.

It happened just after 11 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6 on Lakeview Drive in Penn Township.

The victim fell when the 23-year-old Osceola man driving the golf cart took a left-hand turn, according to a news release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses told police at the scene the victim was standing during the turn.

The victim was taken by Med Flight to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment of a head injury, according to the news release.

He was last listed in stable condition.

Alcohol was a factor in the incident, according to the news release. The incident is still under investigation.
