A prayer vigil is planned for Thursday to honor the memory of a 22-year-old woman who police say was killed in front of her children in June.

Precious Jackson was shot and killed near the intersection of Sixth and Cleveland streets in Mishawaka on June 12. The woman’s two toddlers were found wandering the street nearby after the shooting.

The vigil will be hosted by On Site Prayer Ministry at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the corner of Sixth and Cleveland streets, according to South Bend Tribune.

The man suspected in the shooting, 18-year-old Tyron Johnson, was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting. Johnson had a 1-month-old child with Jackson.
