Two people found tied up, one taken to hospital after home invasion on South Bend's west side

A woman was treated at Memorial Hospital for a cut on her hand after she and a man were tied up during a home invasion Sunday night, July 5, as reported by WSBT.

Police were called at about 9:40 p.m. to the 400 block of S. Lake Street on the west side of South Bend and found two people tied up inside the home.

Three masked men entered the home, tied up both occupants and stole multiple items, including a TV, WSBT reported. The homeowner told police that he believes his home was targeted.
