Triple stabbing suspect charged with attempted murder

The suspect in the triple stabbing that took place in Three Oaks on Saturday, May 30, faces three counts of attempted murder.

26 year-old Kevin Cain of Hobart was arraigned in Berrien County Court on Monday.

The stabbing took place during an family dispute in the early morning hours on Saturday at a home in the 100 block of Poplar Street, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

Prosecutors say Cain stabbed his mother, stepfather and brother during the argument.

Cain’s bail is now set at $500,000.

Cain’s next court date is scheduled for June 10.
