Lafayette Street is blocked at the Bronson Street underpass after a semi got stuck while trying to go underneath it.

The semi collided with the bottom of the underpass Wednesday morning, May 13.

South Bend Police Department tweeted that drivers should avoid the area. The road will be closed down for several hours Wednesday, May 13, while crews work to get the semi out from under the underpass.
