National Weather Service warns severe weather threat for Indiana on Monday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of Indiana.

The outlook was issued because of the possibility of thunderstorms Sunday and the slight chance of severe weather Monday afternoon into early evening as a front pushes through the state.

The weather service said the primary threat in central Indiana will be damaging winds, but warned that large hail and isolated tornadoes also are possible. In northern Indiana the primary concern is damaging wind gusts, while in southern Indiana the concerns are damaging winds and large hail.
