Search underway for suspect who robbed Elkhart Dollar General store

Elkhart Police are looking for a man they say robbed the Dollar General store in the 1800 block of East Bristol Street.

Police were called to the store just after 8:30 am, Monday, where they say the suspect entered with a handgun, took money, then fled, according to a news release issued by the Elkhart Police Department.

The suspect is described as black. Around 5’4″ to 5’6″ with a thin build.

He’s said to be between 17 to 22 years-old and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a mask.
