Search for suspect of South Bend gas station shooting underway

A man was shot and killed at a South Bend gas station.

It happened just before 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at the Always Open gas station and convenience store in the 1400 block of N. Bendix Drive.

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide investigators say the victim was near the gas pumps when he was shot.

They attempted to save the man by performing CPR, but the victim died at the hospital.

So far, there is no word of any motive or arrest.
