Harassing phone calls made to former teacher; man charged

UNADILLA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A 51-year-old man has been charged with stalking after harassing phone calls were made to an 81-year-old Livingston County woman who was his sixth-grade teacher decades ago.

The Livingston Daily Press & Argus in Howell reports that Steven Kremski also is charged with malicious use of a telecommunications device. He was arraigned Friday and told a judge he takes “no position at this time.”

Court records show the calls started in 2011. Kremski was arrested Thursday by Unadilla Township police after two more calls were made.

He is jailed on a $100,000 bond.

The teacher tells the newspaper that she remembers taking the time to notice and help Kremski when he was in her class.

The Associated Press was unable Saturday to determine if Kremski has a lawyer.
