Home invasion suspect sought by Elkhart County Sheriff's Department

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a daytime residential burglary that happened in the 55000 block of Sheridan Boulevard.

The incident happened Wednesday between 7:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Investigators say entry was gained into the unoccupied home by breaking a window on the residence.

Once inside, the suspect took three safes containing valuables, including jewelry and other precious metals.
