The Shirt 2015 will be unveiled during Notre Dame Day

Notre Dame football fans anxious to see the design of The Shirt 2015 will only have to wait a few more days.

The Shirt, a Fighting Irish tradition since 1990, is typically unveiled during the Blue and Gold game. However, that wasn’t the case this year.

Because of the construction at Notre Dame Stadium, the Blue and Gold game was played on the practice fields. That meant the game was invite-only for a limited audience of up to 3,000, compared to the usual crowd of nearly 30,000 fans.

“To work with this change, The Shirt Committee decided to move the unveiling to be in conjunction with ND Day,” according to a post on The Shirt ND Facebook page

Notre Dame Day is April 26. The Shirt will be unveiled at 6:57 p.m. at the Hammes Bookstore. Check out the official Notre Dame Day website for details on events.
