A 21-year-old Goshen man was sentenced to 68 years in prison after he was found guilty in connection with a violent home invasion in Goshen in 2013.
Montrail Williams was convicted of robbery, burglary, criminal confinement and conspiracy to commit a burglary after a five-day jury trial in February, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth. Thirteen years of the sentence will be suspended and served on probation.
He was also found guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon during a bench trial after the jury trial.
According to testimony and evidence during the trial, Williams and four other men entered a home at Twin Pines Mobile Home Park and held the people inside the home against their will and robbed them.
Three others have all been sentenced to more than 40 years each. A fifth co-defendant, Matthew Allen, could go to trial in early May.
