South Bend Police Department fallen officer memorial happening on Friday night

May is the month of remembrance for military members who’ve fallen while serving the United States, and also for police officers who’ve died while serving our communities.

On Friday, May 8, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #36 will host its annual memorial service to honor the fallen officers of the South Bend Police Department and all officers who’ve given their lives in the line of duty. 

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg will deliver a special proclamation. 

The service is open to the public.

The service begins at 7:30 p.m. in front of the South Bend Police Department, 701 W. Sample St. in South Bend.

Mark McGill of 95.3 MNC will deliver the roll call of fallen officers.
