Consumer tracking is becoming more popular with smartphones, smartwatches, Tom Stout says

More retail stores are tracking customers and sending people notifications to smartphones and smartwatches, Tom Stout with Burston Marketing said on Michiana’s Morning News on Tuesday morning, May 12.

It was designed to make various situations more convenient for consumers, but Stout said that the overrun of notifications can eventually become like junk mail. Some apps even alert you if you get too close to the refrigerator in your home.
